The V4 Ocean Racing PFD builds on the success of the V3 - a staple among paddlers and downwinders - with meaningful upgrades across storage, utility and durability. Developed over two years alongside top athletes, it's designed to meet the demands of paddlers who want more from their PFD without sacrificing comfort or performance.
The V4 features two expandable front pockets with 40% more carrying capacity than the previous version, plus a rear hydration pocket and tabs for securing key safety items like a VHF radio or PLB. Webbing strap covers keep things clean and aerodynamic, and increased reflective trims on the shoulders improve low-light visibility.
Chief Designer Bart Milczarczyk explains: "The V3 PFD design was already great, so it was a cool design challenge to try and improve on it. We've enhanced and modernised the vest for people who are into a bit of everything - so the slick racing paddler still has a lightweight comfortable PFD, but the guys and girls setting off on other adventures have extra built-in features like more hydration, room for a phone case, snacks, a tool, a radio and more. Basically the V4 offers people more from the one life jacket."
